RETURNS, EXCHANGES AND REFUNDS
All sales are final.

Prior to shipping, we take the utmost care to ensure that the product that you are receiving is in pristine condition. Vinyl Junkies Record Shack, LLC ("VJRS") is not liable for any cosmetic damage that may occur to the record while in transit (torn shrink wrap, bent corners, ruined box, heat warp, etc) and will not issue refund/exchange. We are not liable for items lost in the mail. Once sent out and shown as delivered, you must contact your local USPS post office. VJRS does not accept returns from customers who later change their mind after receiving their order. VJRS places retail price stickers on all of its products.

However, in the event that a product you have purchased is defective, or is the incorrect item, please contact us by email at orders@vinyljunkies.net within thirty (30) days of your purchase. Please include your name and your order number along with your description of the product and the defect. (Once again, we are not liable for issues incurred during shipment. Please contact your local post office for these issues.) VJRS will look into the matter and we may contact you for further information (e.g., satisfactory ID and documentation of your purchase transaction) and/or we may ask you to return the unused item to us for inspection. If VJRS determines that the product you purchased was defective, or the incorrect item, we will be happy to replace it for the same item (subject to availability) or we may, in our sole discretion, issue a refund for the purchase price you paid.
Please note that returns cannot be accepted unless you first contact VJRS and a return has been authorized. Please note that any digital downloaded product is sold “as is”. In general, you should be aware that it may take approximately thirty (30) business days for a credit card refund to be processed and your financial institution will likely take approximately ten (10) business days to reflect a refund transaction to your account. If you have any questions about the products you purchased at VJRS, or about any returns or refunds, please contact us at orders@vinyljunkies.net.
Requests for refunds or exchanges must be made within 30 days of the purchase date. VJRS will not refund after such date for any reason whatsoever.

In rare cases of exchanges for manufacturer defects (this does not include damage incurred during shipping process or slight flaws of jacket/seam splits etc) in the original product, we will inspect the item once it's returned and then issue a refund (example of defects include: misprint/mislabel, label stuck on grooves, wrong speed, wrong artwork, etc). All items must be in original condition and show no signs of use, and must be returned in original vendor packaging. You may be asked to provide pictures prior to sending back the product.

For international returns, any customs or import duties, brokerage fees, taxes and all other charges paid on return shipments are solely the customer's responsibility. In the event you refuse your package, only the purchase price will be refunded. All costs, duties, fees, or taxes are your responsibility and will not be refunded to you.

In the United States, if the recipient refuses delivery of an item purchased at vinyljunkies.net, all charges shall be your responsibility. In the event that purchases are not delivered to you due to an error on VJRS’s part, VJRS will completely refund you or re-ship again to you, whichever you prefer. Please note that when you place your order, a label is automatically generated from the address you enter into your account details. You are responsible for entering your correct address. If you enter the incorrect address and do not notify us before the order is shipped, VJRS cannot refund your purchase. If we send you items that you did not order, we will refund you for cost of the outgoing postage and packing on those individual items, once you send them back to us.

If items are not delivered because you gave us incorrect information, or because your post office was unable to deliver the package because there was no one to receive it, VJRS will refund you for the cost of the items only, but not for the postage and packing charges. Provided the items are still available, VJRS can re-send the items at your request one time only and you will be responsible for all shipping fees.

In rare cases, VJRS may offer the option to return an item which is not defective. The customer will be responsible for the shipping costs to and from VJRS. Credits or refunds will be issued to you for the original purchase, less shipping.
RETURNS FAQ
My brand new record is skipping/jumping, what is going on?
If your turntable doesn't have a tone-arm weight, odds are very high that you'll run into 'skipping' or 'jumping' on brand new records. Tone-arm weights are standard on higher quality turntables because it allows the correct amount of force/pressure to be applied on the needle for it to track properly. Without it, needles will literally rattle out of grooves on bass-heavy records due to the low frequencies. If your turntable doesn't have a tone-arm weight and also comes in the form of a nifty travel suitcase, odds are it's made out of poor quality plastic and cardboard (yes, cardboard! Look inside 'em sometime). While we appreciate these fun gadgets for getting so many folks into the vinyl world, we encourage all and any owners to seriously consider upgrading to a higher quality turntable. Your listening experience will improve dramatically!

I just unsealed my brand new record and there are marks/scuffs on it! What is going on?
To be perfectly honest: vinyl is an imperfect format. Every single vinyl record, no matter the age or condition, will have some imperfection of some kind. If you scrutinize long and hard enough, you can always find something. It's just the reality of the world we live in. Several people touch your brand new record before it's ever even sealed. Each pressing plant has different QC processes, and different ways that they handle records as they're manufactured. Sometimes the heating/cooling process at plants results in streaks or marbling or weird haziness on vinyl if you hold it up to the light at a certain angle. It's normal. Records are stored in various ways before they make their way to distributors, labels and shops. Sometimes (often) they're manufactured and shipped from overseas and all parts of the world. Imagine the transit these things go through to reach you. Most new records come in paper inner sleeves, which can create extremely slight and very fine 'marks', 'scuffs' or 'scratches' on new LPs. Some are sealed in shrink wrap a little too tight. Some are packed into boxes so tightly that they're compressed at weird angles. With all that being said, we rarely see brand new records have any kind of marks or 'scratches' or 'scuffs' that actually affect play in any way. They're simply superficial 99% of the time. If you're looking for an absolutely pristine format that looks perfect in every way when you unseal it, then maybe CDs are a better fit.
