Bill Evans and Jim Hall first recorded together in July 1959 during the sessions for Odds Against Tomorrow. Both musicians also appeared on Jazz Abstractions, recorded in December 1960. Since both projects were large ensemble recordings, they offered little opportunity for meaningful interaction between the pianist and guitarist. Undercurrent, a collection of intimate duets, marked their third studio collaboration and remains one of the most accomplished and rewarding partnerships of their careers. THE COMPLETE ALBUM + 2 BONUS TRACKS - 180-GRAM VIRGIN VINYL - SPECIAL GATEFOLD EDITION
