PESNOPENIYA DUSHI - SONGS OF THE SOULA journey into the profound spiritual world of Orthodox sacred choral music.Performed by the acclaimed Cantores Sancti Nicolai Men's Choir under the direction of Justyna Hanusiak, this new recording brings together nearly a century and a half of sacred repertoire, from the music of Pavel Chesnokov to contemporary works by Henryk Jan Botor and Konstantin Mironov.Sung entirely a cappella, the album unites ancient liturgical texts, Psalms and prayers with the rich sonority of the male voice - music of contemplation, mysticism and timeless beauty.
