3 Feet High and Rising is the 1989 debut studio album from hip-hop trio De La Soul (Posdnuos, Trugoy the Dove, and Maseo). Produced with Prince Paul, its playful, sample-rich "D.A.I.S.Y. Age" sound broke the mold of late-'80s rap and remains one of the most influential and beloved records the genre has ever produced.
Long tangled in sample-clearance disputes, the album finally returned to physical shelves and streaming on its anniversary in 2023. This limited edition pressing features a green cassette shell.
