Wars Of Spirit // Wards Of Light CD

DREADNOUGHT have never been easy to place — and that has always been precisely the point. The Colorado band occupy a space where progressive metal, folk, and atmosphere converge into something that resists every label thrown at it. On Wars Of Spirit // Wards Of Light, they arrive at a new clarity. Leaner in structure, more direct in execution — yet no less vast in scope or ambition. The album moves between stillness and upheaval, between grief and transcendence, tracing an inner war that feels as cosmic as it does personal. It is a record built for deep listening: one that reveals itself slowly, and rewards the patience it asks for. Artwork by Eisner Award-winning artist Christian Ward, whose neon-soaked psychedelic futurism gives the album a visual language as singular as its sound. Mixed by Julius Mauranen (Oranssi Pazuzu) and mastered by Jaakko Viitalähde (Havukruunu).

Still impossible to define. Still impossible to ignore.
