Press Start is a video game-themed album questioning reality featuring eight new tracks inspired by arcades, chiptune melodies, and NES soundtracks. But this isn’t just another record. It comes with a fully playable companion video game: Phantom Quests. But Phantom Quests isn’t just a video game. And Press Start isn’t just an album. Together, they form an immersive, interactive, multimedia, satirical fiction experience where fans can dive deep into the world of Satanic Puppeteer Orchestra. Play a real game that features music from Press Start and reimagined SPO classics. Read a retro strategy guide packed with reviews of games that don’t exist. Collect physical arcade tokens, tickets, and t-shirts from inside the game’s universe. Phantom Quests is a playable concept album. A digital theme park. A lo-fi sci-fi comic. A playable museum of the band’s own mythology. And yeah... it’s a game, too.
